The HP 15-BG003AU comes wrapped in a plastic body. The notebook is available in silver colour with a striped pattern on the lid as well as on the inside. The 15.6-inch display is surrounded by thick bezels. The VGA web camera is located on the top edge of the display. There is a microphone beside the display which is useful during video calls.
There are four raised nubs on the bezels surrounding the display. These nubs act as spacers so that when the notebook is closed, there is some distance maintained between the screen and the keyboard. The fan vent grill is located on the left side of the notebook. The bottom tapers towards the front to afford a better grip and to reduce weight
