Smartband talk is a cross breed between smart watch and fitness brand. It looks like a latter, but some of the features you would expect of a smart watch. Released at a time when the tech communities are smitten with the android wear smart watches. Let’s see how this alternative works out.
This is the latest smart phone with the curved display and voice capability. This is the android smart wear. The weight of the device is 24grams which is amazingly light. The width of the 23.5mm and thickness of 9.5mm. It is available in black and white colors.

It is provided with a microphone, speaker, volume keys, function button accelerometer, Bluetooth, NFC and micro USB connector. Inside the box it comes with a straps of two sizes which fit almost any one. It is very easy to wear. Other color bands are also available.
The Sony flaunts a 1.4 black and white E ink display. It has touch form factor and wearable type. Baring a resolution of 296 x 128 pixels which is very good. The pixel density of the display is 192 ppi.
The Sony smart watch is a dust and water resistant and ingress protection rating of IP68 model. The device supports Android v4.3 or above. Accelerometer sensor is available. Unlike the smart watch the band still functions without a phone being paired to it, but some features are limited. Time and step tracking are not. Initial pairing can be done via NFC, quick and simple or with the old fashioned Bluetooth pairing process. When the band is connected you can use it if you choose like a Bluetooth headset for the phone but attached to the wrist. When a call comes in, the band can vibrate and it does so strongly, as well as display the number or caller ID if the number is saved on the phone.
You can then press to accept the call and take the call on your wrist. The speaker is impressively loud and the quality is really quite good. The volume buttons on the side of the band can be used to control the sound levels. Generally speaking I did not need it at a full volume. You need not lift the band to your face but it can’t be helpful if there is a background noise.
However this cross breed has been performing very well. It is very snappy and the call is heard very well. Just forget the phone with this smart talk Band. The price of this device is Rs 8,000/-
