The SAMSUNG Galaxy on nxt is exclusively available in Flip kart and this is an online mobile. The device is a very premium kind of smart mobile embedded with a fingerprint sensor. Let’s get into the review of the smartphone.
On the first impression, the mobile looks very premium than its price range. The speaker is available on the side which is different. This is a metal unibody design. The built quality of the device is top class. It is rounded on the edges completely sealed device. There is an opening at the bottom for 3.5mm audio jack and a USB slot. To the left side, there is another opening for the sim card tray which is of dual sim. There is another slot for the micro SD card. By the placements of the sim card and SD card tray, the device again feels like a typical budget smartphone where you will find a dual sim card slots and the SD card slots.
The power button is present on the right side and the volume rockers are placed on the left which is separated buttons. The navigation buttons are available on the bottom. The fingerprint and the home button are the same. The dimensions of the device are 151.7 x 75.0 x 8.0.mm. The weight of the device is 167 grams.
Samsung Galaxy on Nxt dual sim is a 5.5 inch PLS TFT LCD display with multi-capacitive touch screen. It consists of resolution 1080 x 1920 pixels. Displaying around 16M colors. The screen is now 1080p screen TFT display. It is not an AMOLED screen. The screen quality is good but the missing auto brightness sensor is a big mistake on the hardware part.
The maximum brightness is not as super as an IPS screen. The viewing angles are quite poor compared to the super AMOLED. The color enduring is not bad but again not as vibrant.
Samsung Galaxy on Nxt runs on OS Android v5.1 Lollipop. It is armed with Powerful 1.6 GHz octa Core processor. Consisting of 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory expandable through micro SD slot up to 256GB. Having primary camera of 13MP autofocus camera with LED flash, Geo-tagging, face detection, panorama, HDR Recording video at 1080p@30fps.
The front camera is provided with 8MP. Loudspeakers are given. Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS options are available. Sensors such as Accelerometer, Fingerprint Sensor, and Proximity Sensor are available. It has a 3300mAh battery. The device supports Gear Circle (Manager Support), Gear Fit, Gear Fit2, Gear1, Gear2, Gear2 Neo, Gear S, Gear S2, Gear IconX. The device supports 4G connectivity.
You have an option for secure folders which can help if you want. It doesn’t have auto brightness sensor but you have an outdoor mode which should be operated manually. Like its previous Samsung Galaxy J7 mobile, it has the “S” bike mode. It comes with power saving mode and ultra-saving mode features are available. It comes with a single tone LED flash. The three capacitive buttons are not backlit. It has the smart storage tab. Out of the 32GB, we got around 24.6GB free space. The fingerprint sensor works well and very responsive.
The device got all the basic stuff that comes with a 10K price range device. The mobile has the Samsung’s default apps which is not of much use. But the “S” health is useful and nice. Coming to the Samsung Galaxy on 8, it does have the same size and display and the camera and even looks are different but the device bears a different chipset and GPU which are slightly inferior. There is no NFC feature. This is the best looking smartphone under Rs 20,000/- The device is quite fast and most of the system apps open quicker but the game loading time is not as fast as Samsung Galaxy On 8. On AnTuTu score the device secured 42862 which is basically mediocre score.
The Moto G4 Plus got the 46926 score but the 3D score is double in the Moto G4 plus. So the gaming would be better on Moto G4 plus. And even the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 works better than this. And you have to know that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 costs only 12K which is far less than the Galaxy On next. The gaming performance on the device is average. It is lagging and high graphic games irritate you a lot and the gameplay feels stutter. However, the Asphalt is playable and the lags are not noticed much.
The mobile is provided with one handed gesture which allows you to use the device in one-handed mode. You can also send SOS message when you are in danger which sends location and captures pictures from the front and rear cameras and even audio recording will be sent to your emergency contact numbers up to four numbers. This feature can be enabled and is available in the privacy and security settings. It comes with many gesture modes and other features like flip to silent. You can send data up to 1 GB through Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, What’s app and much more with the easy sharing feature
Looking at the camera, we have the nice tap to focus. The shutter speed is fine. It is taking a bit of time to focus. It got the bouquet effect. The camera is capturing good photographs in indoor light. The overall camera performance is good.
The smartphone got the best features and the design is very good. But the display quality and the gaming performance feels average. The pricing is also bit higher and there are other mobiles which you can get at less price like Moto G4 plus and xiaomi Note 3. The price range of the device is around Rs 18,490/-
