While seeing the device you simply feel like it is throw back from 2010 but no, it is launched recently. It got many new features. Coming to the display there is no automatic brightness adjustment. You have to set it manually. The capacitive buttons don’t light up either. The viewing angles are great and good color reproduction. There is a light brightness shifting but the colors remain as on. And there is no light bleeding. The colors do look pretty good on the device which are not over saturated or under saturated.
The touch response is very good on the device. Coming to the network and call quality it is actually pretty good. You got 3G video calling support as well. The earpiece gives very good call quality. The speakers are very loud and clear. The camera is 5MP camera with 4:3 aspect ratio where you can take pictures clearly there are many filters available. The camera interface is very good. The close up shots are really nice. The color capture is very natural.
The front facing camera with 2MP is very good giving you the best video calling at this class phone. It has a very low RAM which makes the apps and games crash right in between. Gaming is much fun either they lag they crash and its just there is not enough place. The Antutu score is 10086 which is ok. Antutu HTML test score is 4318.
Samsung Galaxy J1 is a very basic device coming wth a very good camera and recent features are enabled. It simply feels alike a old phone redesigned. It is good in this class phones. Coming to the cons it really has a very less RAM which makes the games and apps to crush. But it has a very good display and touch. The camera is also very good.
