“A day’s power in half an hour” Is the caption for this latest smartphone. OnePlus 3T is crowned to be the best smartphone with amazing battery life as well as the camera. It comes with 16MP front and rear Sony sensor cameras. Let’s see the detailed briefing of the performance and specifications.
OnePlus 3T has a very regular design. It is made up of anodized aluminum. It has a unibody design with a slightly curved backside rounded corners at the sides. The phone feels a lot thinner. Even the phone is made up of metal it is surprisingly light weight. The phone feels very comfortable. And you can handle it with one hand very easily. It is not pretty wide or tall phone.
It is able to use in one hand, which is barely large 5.5 inch in size. This is a bit bigger than the Samsung’s S7 Edge which also has the same size. There is no 3T logo on this phone which would especially tell you that this is a 3T phone. The 3T comes in two colors. It is a 5.5 inch Optic AMOLED display. Describing the buttons, the power slot comes on the right side along with the sim card tray, the volume rockers comes on the left side. On the left comes the dedicated button for silent mode just like the apple.
There is no headphone jack or anything on the top. But the headphone is on the bottom. Along with the USB type ‘C’ port and a series of holes for the speaker. On the front comes the fingerprint sensor which is also a home button and the navigation keys. You can also prefer the onscreen keys (in settings).
The speaker grill, front facing the camera with LED flash and the sensor are present on the top of the display. At the back, you can see a 16 MP camera and the LED flash. It is designed in gun metal and soft gold colors. The device is surrounded by a metal panel. The dimensions of the device are 152.7 x 74.7 x 7.35mm. And the weight of the device is 158 grams.

The fingerprint sensor itself is very fast to unlock. It's not the most accurate fingerprint sensor that I ever used and it often misread the fingerprint. I didn’t find it a very big issue because overall it is a fairly reliable fingerprint sensor. The 5.5inch screen remains unchanged from Oneplus 3, it is still 1080p but it is one of the best 1080p panels in the market. It is AMOLED, so colors are rich and vibrant with tons of contrast and Oxygen OS in black theme look awesome in deeper blacks.
It has the brightest screen which can be definitely usable outdoors. And the screen still looks pretty sharp. On the naked eye, you won’t be able to identify the difference between a 1080p and a quad HD display. It comes with a 3400mAh battery, where it is provided with its own charger and cable. You get the dash technology where you get the majority of heat will be stopped in the adapter itself instead of passing to the phone. This means you can use your phone heavily while charging without worrying about the charging speeds trolling down to control the heat. In day to day use the battery life is been excellently good.
It easily lasts all day, even with my heavy usage and lot of gaming, youtube watching, and music streaming. Even though, the bump in the battery capacity is low. It seems to be making a very significant change. Another area we saw an improvement is a performance.
That is a 6GB RAM just like the one plus 3. But the processor has been upgraded to the snapdragon. This 2.25GHz version which is clocked higher than the one found in the Googles pixel phone. General performance on the 3T seemed really great. And again having a 1080p display helps out a lot here since the processor isn't having to push as many pixels even though it is perfectly capable of doing so.
It is very fast to open apps, excellent touch response and runs all the high-end games without any choppiness or frame drops. The multi-tasking is also not gonna be an issue either. It can hold tons of apps in memory. The stereo speakers give excellent audio quality. The earphone audio quality is also very good.
The last significant area that 3T has is what the camera. The change here is the front camera which is now a 16MP camera which is double the megapixel count of the Oneplus 3 (8MP). This camera is pretty great for taking selfies in general. With the bump in the megapixel count, you will have a lot more room to zoom in, or crop without deteriorating the picture quality and get a much sharper looking front facing video.
The rear camera is the same 16 MP Sony sensor with optical image stabilization and phase detection, autofocus and yes it still has the camera hop just like before. It definitely a good camera when it comes to picture quality. The photos that take are crisp and well detailed and I really like the color reproduction.
They are nice natural looking colors and images are sharp enough without looking over-sharpened, if you want some extra sharpening you can use the cameras high-quality mode which add a fairly noticeable amount of sharpness to the photos.
OnePlus 3T gives the one of the smoothest and the quickest android experiences out there. I wouldn’t compare with the Google pixel phone but it is definitely up there and best of many. The updated version of the Oxygen OS is also good. The performance of the device is good and camera quality is also impressive. It is available at a price range of Rs 29,999/-
