Firstly NOKIA is of telecommunications network but now it has placed itself in mobile devices. Now Nokia was acquired by Microsoft with regards to mobile devices and services. So NOKIA x has the android apps inbuilt with the overall performance better for this price range. This has the resemblance of both Lumina phones and as phones with regards to the build and feel. This Nokia phone runs on android v 4.1.2 jellybean with dual sim capability.
Nokia x has the 4’ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 480*800 pixels and a pixel density of 233 ppm. Pixilation is observed when large data is viewed, and the sunlight legibility is poor due to high reflectiveness of screen. The smart when tilted to different angles the colours don’t fade unless it is an extreme angle. The display is fine as it is and is kind of with good colours and sharpness of text. Sunlight contrast ratio is 1.291 and the auto brightness sensor adjusts to the lighting conditions.
The design of the Nokia x is like the high-end phones with simplicity and top-notch feel when holding in hand. It has the 3mp rear fixed focus camera at the top, middle lies the Nokia branding and at the peak end is occupied with the speaker grill. Bottom of the smart is occupied with micro USB port for charging and data sinking. Right of the smart resides with volume rockers and power/sleep key. Top of the smart has the 3.5 mm jack for headset and the top of the display has the ear piece, a proximity sensor and light sensor. Bottom of the display has the back touch capacitive button (used as home key if you press for a while).Below the back button resides the primary microphone and the total body is made up of plastic with the rear of a matt finish. On removing the back panel you have slots for two micro Sims, a micro SD card slot (32 GB) and a groove for 1500 mAh battery.
Nokia x has the smart gestures as double tap to wake the lock screen and glance too. The icons of the UI are tiles which can be resizable; widgets can be placed on the lock screen as usual. The fast lane feature gives the list of apps and what not the end user has opened as a list. Data counter gives the information of the data used to the end user, here maps for knowing about the destination required by the end user as routes, restaurants nearby, hotels nearby and much more. Android apps can be downloaded from the Nokia store. Nokia mix radio gives the mix of your favourite artist and can be listened by the end user via a radio station. Back cover cases are got with a rainbow of colours which attracts the end user. The camera has the best features as white balance, sharpness, contrast, resolution, face detection, anti-banding.
For an entry level device like Nokia x the web browsing is fast. Videos are recorded at 480p resolution, and the camera outputs are with good colour and contrast levels but the detailing is missed. When capturing the shots with the 3mp fixed focus camera we need to take them from a particular distance. Speaker outputs are muffled when placed on the floor, with high call quality as well. Quadrant scores 2880, tutu scores 7669 and Denmark 2 scores 32.1 fps. Casual games as subway surfer, temple run 2, jetpack joyride, are played well without any lag unless they are got from the Nokia store. But sometimes if games are loaded from a 3rd party we find a crash of games. High-end games are okays if played at low settings.
Nokia x is the best phone in the price range below 10,000 with good performance and durability.Drawbacks as no secondary microphone, no front facing the camera, low battery power, no NFC and no secondary microphone for noise cancellation, no autofocus feature for the rear camera .Now it is the choice of the end user to opt or not.
