The Intex IT Bang 2.1 SUFB is a set of portable and light-weight 2.1 surround sound system which is built out of acoustic-friendly materials for an enriching audio output. It features a sturdy build. The setup comprises of 1 main subwoofer unit housing all the controls and 2 satellite speakers. The main unit features an asymmetrical design. The controls are set in a rectangular area which is sunken into the body of the unit. There are four buttons; Play/Pause, Mode, Previous and Next. There is a chunky knob for adjusting volume levels. There is a discrete LED display which sits above the cluster of controls. It is not visible when the set is switched off.
Intex Speaker is only visible when the speaker set is on. Coupled with the mixed control buttons, it gives a futuristic look to the system. The 2 satellites also share the asymmetric design. There is a big round hole on the front which is flattened at one side. It forms a stylized form of the letter ‘B’. All the three speaker units sport a black matte finish making them look sophisticated. The overall design is an oddly attractive mix of the modern and retro. The Intex IT Bang 2.1 SUFB has a separate subwoofer for delivering a punchy bass. The highs and lows are delivered by the 2 satellite speakers. The 2.1 setup gives a bit of the surround sound effect with the proper placement of individual units. The frequency response varies between 20Hz and goes up to 200Hz for the subwoofer and from 200Hz. to 20 KHz for the satellites. The sound output stops at 20W for the subwoofer and 10W each for the 2 satellites. The sound is amply loud and crystal-clear. Bass-heavy tracks sound especially good on this speaker system. But the highs and lows are also managed well by the satellites.
There is an FM radio built into the main unit. The system also accepts input from multiple external sources such as a USB pen drive or a memory card. The Intex 2.1 IT Bang-SUFB delivers on the sound quality and manages to look good while doing so. The bundled remote control also works very well to control the system from a fair bit of distance.
