The Intex Aqua Amaze Plus is a beautiful looking device and is available in three colors Black, Blue, and Grey. The removable back is made of plastic and the edges of the phone are painted to match the color of the back panel. The front of the device is black colored on all the three colors. On the back, the camera and the LED flash are set in a circular metallic disc.
There is a horizontal strip running across the bottom end of the back which hides an opening for the loudspeaker. All the four corners are rounded. This is one attractive looking phone from the back side on the front, the three Android navigation keys sit below the 4.7-inch display. The front camera and the sensors are in line with the earpiece. The phone’s rounded corners help in maintaining a secure grip on the phone. Overall the phone looks beautiful without going overboard with the design elements.
The Intex Aqua Amaze Plus sports a 4.7 inch TFT LCD display which support 2-finger touch. The resolution is a respectable 1280 x 720 pixels. The colors are well-saturated and viewing angles are good.
Sunlight legibility is not so good and users might struggle to view the display in direct sunlight. Overall it is a good display at this price point with the only disappointment being the 2-finger touch support.
The primary camera on the Intex Aqua Amaze Plus is a 5.0 megapixels autofocus camera. The camera app has some useful built-in modes like Face Beauty, Panorama, HDR and Face Detection. The images are shot in the 16:9 wide ratio.
There is also a LED flash for low light and night photography. The front camera is a fixed focus 5.0 megapixels camera. The front camera also has a LED flash for brighter and clearer selfies. That should keep all the selfie shooters happy.
The Intex Aqua Amaze Plus runs on a quad-core Spreadtrum SC9832A processor running at 1.3 GHz. It is supported by 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB storage. The storage can be increased to 64 GB via the memory card slot. Out of the box, the phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. These entire factors combine together to give a relatively smooth user experience.
The battery is of relatively large 2000 mAh capacity so the phone will run for the longer period between two charges. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, FM radio, 3G, and 4G. Sensors on the phone include Proximity Sensor, Ambient Light Sensor, and Accelerometer.
