Honor 8 lite is the less expensive version of the Honor 8. However, Honor tells that it still has good hardware. And the Company claims that the camera can still deliver professional results and its in-house Kirin processor can handle anything that you throw at it. Does the Honor Lite slightly live up to these Claims.

Honor 8 Lite comes with a 2.5D curved Glass on the front and the back and a plastic frame in the middle. Design wise the phone looks quite similar to the Honor 8 in only black color. It does look good, it means the phone is slippery. We saw it sliding around when placed on any surface which isn’t perfectly flat. You also need to be careful as the glass back tends to get scratched fairly easily. It comes with a clear case in the box. It is a dual Sim Android smartphone with 4G LTE connectivity.
The Honor 8 Lite houses a 3000mAh battery. It has navigation buttons on the bottom of the display. To the right side of the smartphone has the power/sleep key and volume rocker which feel plasticky. Top of the device has the 3.5mm jack for plugging the headphones and a micro USB port charging. The speaker grill is placed at the bottom. On the left side, there is a hybrid sim card slot. For security, there is a fingerprint sensor on the back. It is accurate and quick to unlock the phone. The dimensions of the phone are 147.2mm x 72.94mm x 7.6mm and weight is just 147 grams.
Honor 8 Lite has an IPS LCD display which is a 2.5D curved Glass. The display is 5.2” inch. It is a touch multi-touch capacitive touch screen. It has a resolution of 1920 x 1080pixels. It comes with 294ppi pixel density. The color production is also good. The display provides the finest viewing experience. The display is very decent and does give you very good viewing angles.

It has a customized skin called EMUI which lets you choose whether you want an app drawer or all icons on the home screen.
There is also a one hand mode for easy use. The 3000mah battery is good for one day of usage. You may be able to stretch beyond one day of battery life with night usage. The phone managed to keep going for nine hours and 42 minutes in our HD video. However, it does not support quick charging and the supplied 5watt charger takes a long time to top the battery up.
Moving on to the camera, it packs a wonderful 12MP camera that can deliver professional results, you can double tap on the volume down button to launch the camera app. It is easy to use and focusing is quick. There are lots of modes to choose from before you start taking photos. The pro mode for photo and video gives you complete control over shooting parameters, you can also download additional modes if you wish to use them. Photos are good and we are happy with the output in daylight.
We couldn’t find a dedicated night mode but we saw that the camera detects low light while shooting and sharpens the output. The beauty mode is on default while using the selfie. It smoothens the skin tones and tries to improve selfies. There is no front facing flash but the phone uses the screen flash instead. Overall this is an amazing camera.

Honor 8 Lite is a good handset and it really performs on the best level with the cameras. The performance and the multitasking are great. It is a budget android mobile.
Its performance is very good and the design also feels premium. It is one of the best smartphones in this class range. It is available at a price of only Rs 15,200/-.
