Google Pixel XL is the first phone running on Android 7.1 on the box and not even 7.0. This is the most advanced and the next version of the Google Nexus phones. These phones start where the nexus ends. Which shows the perfect android thing.
This phone is a metal unibody with smoothened at the sides, and the edges are pretty round and pretty familiar shape. It got the G logo at the back. At the back, the half of the back panel is glass where the fingerprint sensor is available and the remaining is completely metal. Which provides a dual tone look which is glass cum texture look which grew on me a lot these days.
At the front is the AMOLED display which looks great. The black phone feels better than other phones. The home and the navigation buttons are on the screen. Everyone notices that the phone chin looks pretty awesome. The only difference between the pixel and pixel XL is the size and the battery. Where the Pixel XL bears a 3450mAh battery and a pixel bears a 2770mAh battery.
The dimensions of the Google pixel are 154.7 x 75.7 x 8.5 mm and weighs 168grams. The device is provided with a USB type C slot which is now very common for high-end smartphones. The speakers are available at the bottom. It still does have a headphone jack. Bu, it is true and the headphone jack appears at the top. It comes in exciting colors such as dark Black, Quite Silver, and dark Blue.
Google pixel XL has a large 5.5-inch display. This is an AMOLED multi-touch capacitive display. With an amazing pixel density of 534ppi which equals a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels.
The display is ensured with a protection of corning gorilla glass 4. The screen to body ratio of the device is 71.2%. Allows a wide color range of around 16M.
This is said to be the fastest phone ever which bears a Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 821 chipset in combination with the 4GB RAM and internal storage of 32/128GB. It holds a Quad-core (2x2.15 GHz Kryo & 2x1.6 GHz Kryo) processor. Loaded with an Adreno 530 GPU. The device runs on the latest Android OS v7.1 Nougat. One thing that misses here is the micro sd card slot.
Coming to the camera font, it is embedded with a 12.3 MP as well as f/2.0, phase detection & laser autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash. The camera features 1/2.3" sensor size, 1.55µm pixel size, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama. Recording video with 2160p@30fps, 1080p@30/60/120fps, 720p@240fps modes.
The pixel also bears a secondary camera of 8 MP in addition to f/2.4, 1/3.2" sensor size, 1.4µm pixel size, 1080p. Sensors such as Fingerprint, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and barometer are available. Comes with a non-removable 3450mAh Li-ion battery. Which provides a very good standby time.
Pixel claimed that 15mins of charging give around 7hrs of usage. The camera on the back claims that the best on any smartphone by the preproduction DXOmark ranking. The camera is certainly promising with a 12MP camera with a really big sensor so 1.5-micron pixels which are some of the biggest I have seen in a while.
Basically ultra-pixel at this point and F 2.0 aperture, 4K video, and the LED flash and with the software optimization they are saying there is a basically zero shutter lag so you can take photos super quickly. And we know this is only the first smartphone to get out of the box and by using it found it pretty nice, the rounded icons and a couple of new tweaks made it lovable.
The best thing you get in the 7.1 is the Goggle assistant which is absolutely good and the best thing is they built it into the OS itself. Just long press the home button and it pops up right there. You can question it. You just talk about it. Ask it to play some music or make a call. Yes, this is your assistant and make yourself comfortable. The charger provided here is also a fast charger.
Finally, I can say that this is the perfect Google phone for the Google lovers. Once you buy it, you will be seeing a lot of things new with the Nougat OS. The phone is pretty impressive in all ways. The price range of the device is around 75K to 76K.
