Yeah, Bose speaker is always a dream for music lovers and here we are going to review about the latest Bose Soundlink Mini 2. This is a Bluetooth speaker with the 50W audio output.
Bose Soundlink Mini 2 bears a unique design that brings out the rich sound. The Bose Soundlink mini comes in a black, white and gray finish. It is relatively small in size and light to carry around. Out of the box, it comes with a Soundlink Mini Bluetooth speaker II, Charging cradle, Wall charger, Cable. The special attraction in the speaker is its charging dock.
At the first charging dock feels very nice and easy to use but the problem comes when you have to always carry around the charging dock for charging considering its weight. However, the first impressions on the design are quite impressive. The built quality is completely metal which is quite hard enough to survive for longer periods and withstands fall. It is like a perfectly packed body. I will rate it 5 stars for this design.
Moving on to the specifications of the Bose SoundLink Mini 2 speaker consists of total 2 speakers 50W and the battery capacity is also not disclosed but supports Battery life up to 10hrs. The weight of the Soundlink mini 2 Bluetooth speaker is just 620g and dimensions of the speaker are 2" H x 7.1" W x 2.3" D and the charging cradle are 0.63" H x 6.2" W x 2" D (2.8 oz). Speakers Bluetooth range is 30ft.
The speaker’s ultimate goal is to provide great music through Bluetooth so it doesn’t come with much connectivity options and has only 3.5 mm auxiliary and a micro USB port. I would recommend immediately purchasing the soft cover available through Bose to protect the Mini ll from wear and tear.
The whole body is of metal including the speaker grill. It has buttons for power on/off, Volume up and down Bluetooth connectivity and clear Bluetooth list. It comes with detachable charger plugs with different modules because the package I got is a special edition. When you long press the power button you will get a voice prompt about the charging left.
The Bose SoundLink Mini ll Bluetooth Speaker comes with amazing design and looks. The sound levels provided are not too high comparing to its rivals Sony SRS-XB3. However, the sound coming out is not that rich and the bass levels are poor in my view. The only thing you find attractive is its design and long lasting performance because of the hard body.
The speaker can be used roughly and doesn’t get spoiled. You will also find the packaging much more interesting. You also can’t increase the bass levels when wanted. At a price of Rs18,000/-, we have to reconsider buying this. It is like on the first instinct Wow Bose is an amazing speaker. But after listening sing some songs you will definitely start hating it. What I noticed while playing the song is it gives a muffling sound when tried to play at higher volumes but it feels ok when you place it on the charging dock.
When you pay 18k we expect anything to be the best. Even low priced F&D speakers give better audio quality than Bose Soundlink Mini 2. But the best thing in this speaker is it comes with hands-free calling feature where you get an inbuilt microphone with noise cancellation mic additionally. So you can handle a call with clear audio.
Overall the Bose Soundlink Mini 2 quite attractive with its posh design and the charging cradle. It is also priced high. The performance seems ok but not the best you would expect or dream about the Bose. The price of the Bose Soundlink Mini 2 is Rs 18,000/- @ Flipkart.
